The McKimmon Center for Extension and Continuing Education (MCE&CE) acts as a gateway for students to access the vast intellectual and technical resources at NC State University. MCE&CE was originally established in 1924 as the College Extension Division, and since then, it has been dedicated to continually evolving to meet the educational needs of learners, as well as organizations, governmental agencies, and corporations. Since its inception, MCE&CE has proudly been dedicated to delivering public service first, as established by Jane S. McKimmon, a pioneer in the field of continuing education.
